CATL Makes History with Shenxing Battery; Become The First Chinese Company to Win Prestigious TECHNOBEST 2024 Award

The international jury panel of AUTOBEST has declared CATL's Shenxing battery as the recipient of the TECHNOBEST 2024 award, marking the first time a battery product has earned this accolade. AUTOBEST, a prestigious automotive jury in Europe, announced the award following voting by jury members from 31 European nations. Notably, CATL becomes the first Chinese company to secure this title.

The Shenxing battery, recognized for its disruptive innovation, is the world's inaugural 4C superfast charging LFP battery. It boasts the capability to provide a 400 km driving range with just a 10-minute charge and over 700 km on a single full charge, addressing fast charging concerns for electric vehicle users and ushering in an era of superfast EV charging.

“CATL is a phenomenon in the battery industry, with many breakthrough technologies. The last one, Shenxing, is another revolution proposed by CATL to the benefit of the customers all around the world who will have a much faster recharging time, a better energy density and a high level of safety,” said Dan Vardie, the founder and chairman of AUTOBEST.

CATL has already forged partnerships with various OEMs, such as NETA, CHERY, BAIC BJEV, JIDU, VOYAH, among others, for the supply of the Shenxing battery. Electric vehicles equipped with the Shenxing battery are anticipated to hit the market in the first quarter of 2024.

Among these accolades, TECHNOBEST holds a preeminent position as the oldest, most authentic, and traditionally revered award.
